Firing Blanks

This years opening act - MoD Lynehams very own Firing Blanks. The core of the band, Adam (vocals and bass guitar), Chris (rhythm guitar), Jay (drums), Mick (bass), JayJay (vocals), Nathan (lead guitar) & Matt (lead and rhythm guitar), have made a name for themselves playing in the Messes on camp, supporting military events such as the Corps Boxing Night, hammering out the tunes in local pubs and at large venues such as the REME tent at the Army v Navy rugby match in Twickenham as well as charity events in Cyprus. They also had the privilege of featuring onstage at REME75 in front of almost 10000 people. A high-energy covers band playing all the staples including White Stripes, Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys, Bon Jovi & Kings of Leon, Firing Blanks will certainly leave everything onstage and get the crowd in the mood for a music festival.

Using nothing but rubbish, these four hilarious and talented guys have created a fun and dynamic show overflowing with captivating percussion, superb 4-part a cappella singing, innovative musical creations, ridiculous comedy and unyielding energy.  Join JunNk in an unpredictable world of music and laughter and watch an unforgettable live show that guarantees to get the whole family smiling and tapping their feet from start to finish!

Hailing from Burnley, the industrial centre of deepest darkest Lancashire, HALO, a hard-rocking 4-piece have been plying their trade on the rock and metal club scene for around ten years. They cover everything from Metallica, Machine Head and Killswitch Engage to Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath as well as having the odd original song thrown in.
